I am an assistant professor with the University of Michigan Department of Afroamerican and African Studies and a postdoctoral scholar with the Michigan Society of Fellows. I hold a PhD in Culture and Performance from the Department of World Arts and Cultures. I also received a degree in Architecture from the University of Houston College of Architecture.
